about
Hi, I'm Hannah.
Huey's Computers LLC is me: Hannah Lyons, a DevOps engineer in Durham, North Carolina, fixing infrastructure problems for small teams on the side.
I have spent 8+ years running cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and observability in production for an edtech company. Day to day that means AWS, Kubernetes, Cloudflare, Keycloak, monitoring pipelines, and the unglamorous work of keeping email authenticated and security scorecards green. I once took a production domain to a 99 on SecurityScorecard, and yes, I am still a little proud of that.
Why fixed-scope?
Because hourly billing rewards slow work and retainers reward vague work. The problems on the services page are ones I have solved enough times to know what they take. So you get a price, a scope with explicit boundaries, and a deliverable. If your problem does not fit one of the boxes, say so anyway; the worst case is I tell you it is not a fit and you have lost one email.
How I work
- Remote by default, on-site around the Triangle when it helps
- Named accounts and cross-account roles only, revoked when the project closes
- Everything written down: findings, changes, and how to keep things working after I leave
This site practices what it sells: DMARC at enforcement, strict security headers, no trackers beyond Cloudflare Web Analytics, and it loads fast on bad hotel wifi. Check my homework: scan hueyscomputers.com with your favorite tool.
